Cocky Gamer {a review}

Happy Sunday everyone!

Today Cocky Gamer by Lauren Helms is available! This book is part of the Cocky Hero Club. It features a missed connections and a long distance romance.

Ben is a professional video game player who is starting to consider retirement. With that comes what happens next for him in regards to a career. Right now though he's freelancing with a video game company. They have him doing voice over work, and he's enjoying it.

Kelly is an admin assistant, and she's miserable at her current company. She's in need of a change and is struggling to find something she is passionate about. That is until her friend has a job opening at her animal rescue.

Ben has traveled out to California (from Chicago) to start his voice over job, and is at the Melting Moon CafĂ© with his friend Garland. While there a couple is having a disagreement, and suddenly another woman comes crashing into that couple spilling her coffee everywhere. She offers her apologies and then quickly exits the building. Ben is curious about that mystery woman.  She definitely made an impression upon him in that short time. Ben runs into the mystery woman again a little bit later at Club Punch, but they never exchange phone numbers. So much continues to happen that thwarts any plans that Ben has for connecting with Kelly.

Cocky Gamer was FABULOUS. I have not read any of the Cocky Bastard books, nor any of the books from the Cocky Hero Club, but damn if I don't want to now! This story was just missed connection after missed connection. Then when things finally started happening, there was issues with communication. Yet there was something that just kept pushing Ben and Kelly together. They were meant to be. And I absolutely loved this book! I want more of these two, and all the side characters.

If you're looking for a relatively quick, easy read that has plenty of romance then go read Cocky Gamer by Lauren Helms. Trust me!

Thank you for reading my thoughts,
