“Tell me you weren’t walking around in front of those two assholes looking like that.”

“So what if I was?” she sasses, flipping her hair over her shoulder.

I take a menacing step forward, expecting her to take one back, but she doesn’t. Instead, she just holds my stare, squaring her shoulders ready for the storm that’s approaching.

“You’re ours, princess. No one but us gets to see you like this.”

“I’m yours?” She scoffs. “That’s funny, because all I’ve seen of you recently is your back as you’ve run away. You’re a fucking pussy, Rhett Savage. You say all the right things but you’re too fucking weak to act on any of them.

“Dane, Wes… I know exactly how they feel, know precisely what they want. But you? You’re nothing but a bag of mixed signals.” She heaves a breath but isn’t done yet. “You want me. You need me. You hate me. You can’t bear to look at me. Yet, you what… you killed for me?”

I take another step toward her until we’re standing so close the burning heat from her body seeps into mine. Her cherry scent fills my nose, and the only thing I can think about is kissing her and reminding myself just how she tastes.

My hand shoots out, holding her throat in a tight grip. “You don’t want to push me, Sadie. You know it’s only going to get you hurt.”

“Maybe I want the pain, Savage.”

My jaw tics as I stare at her, willing her to do something other than wait me out, wait for me to say something, to open myself up to her like the other two have, like she wants me to.

“What do you want from me, princess?”

“Aside from your cock?” she asks with a smirk, ensuring that it goes full mast with the knowledge that she’s thinking about it. “I want you to grow some balls and tell me what you want.”

“You know what I want, princess.”

“Sometimes I think I might.” Her chin lifts with defiance. “But then you turn your back and run, leaving me with my head spinning and my body craving your touch.”
