Calling All Alley Ciz Fans!

If you've been around my blog for a bit, you may recall that I fell hard for the Royalty Crew duet by Alley Ciz. I have a copy on my kindle, and a physical copy of the books as well. And now, now I want to go back and read EVERYTHING. Alley's writing, and her characters, have drawn me in. I need to read all the backlist books. (and of course the new releases!)

Chances are you've heard of the BTU Alumni series by Alley. So the news of a new addition to the series is probably old news for you. On the off chance you have not heard the news...

Scoring Beauty is a sporty, sexy romcom featuring a hot-mess (at least in her eyes) single mom who’s about to knock this swoony motherpucking hockey player on his very fine behind. This interconnected stand-alone comes complete with your favorite can’t-mind-their-own-business Covenettes, a next generation trying their hands at the matchmaking shenanigans, and a guaranteed happily-ever-after.

Sold. Give me the book now!

But first, look at this cover! Oh and that teaser? YES!

Is it September 24th yet? Asking for a friend.

~RYAN~

I’m done with dating.

Happily-ever-after isn’t in the cards for me, so I’m officially taking myself off the market.

Hockey is my mecca.

The arena my temple.

The ice the altar I worship at.

Then…I met her.

Strip me naked and run me over with a Zamboni—she’s the textbook definition of a bad love match.

Amara Miller, beyond beautiful and effortlessly drawing me into her orbit and making it impossible to resist her.

~AMARA~

It should have been a simple cross-country move.

Instead, it sent me crashing—quite literally—into the captain of Coach’s new hockey team.

Did I mention he was half-naked when it happened?

It doesn’t matter that he’s sexy as sin and the swooniest motherpucker I’ve ever met.

I will not lust after hockey players.

Been there.

Done that.

Bought the maternity shirt.

And Ryan Donnelly? He’s pretty much Mr. Hockey.

The problem is, I’m not the only one enamored with him—my kid is too.

It’s turning into a problem, because this mama doesn’t have time to play games when it comes to our hearts.

Meet Alley

Alley Ciz is an internationally bestselling indie author of sassy heroines and the alpha men that fall on their knees for them. She is a romance junkie whose love for books turned into her telling the stories of the crazies who live in her head…even if they don’t know how to stay in their lane. This Potterhead can typically be found in the wild wearing a funny T-shirt, connected to an IV drip of coffee, stuffing her face with pizza and tacos, chasing behind her 3 minis, all while her 95lb yellow lab—the best behaved child—watches on in amusement.

Tackled {a review}

Tackled is the second book in the Vegas Aces: The Quarterback series, and it also released on September 9, 2021!

Tackled picked up right where Traded left off. Because this is a continuation story, I have to be careful with my recap and review. After all the last thing I want to do is spoil any part of the story!

So, assuming you read Traded, you know what happened there. Well in Tackled, we get to know Jack a lot better. Bits and pieces of his life are getting revealed, and oofta there is a lot to go through. The big thing though is his relationship with Michelle. Their wedding is coming up quickly, and Jack really does not want to marry her, but he has to. Kate is right by his side though helping him through all the things, all while trying not to fall head over heals for the man. There is some definite chemistry happening, and the tension is thick.

I love Jack. I love Kate. I love that we got to see Luke and Josh make an appearance. My gut tells me that book two was the lead up to a major blowup in book 3. Have I read book 3? Nope. It's just what I'm feeling.  I'm feeling a big dramatic Michelle moment building, and the after shocks are going to be off the charts. So much happened in Tackled, but I can't say anything! Just know you learn a lot, and you see the bond between Jack and Kate becoming stronger. Even while he does his best to push her away.

Thank you for reading my thoughts on Tackled. If you choose to read Vegas Aces: The Quarterback, know that you need to start with Traded. This isn't one of those series where you can jump in at any time. Go read this series, and fall for the characters. (as well as Lisa Suzanne because she's just dang awesome.)

Laura

TACKLED is the second book in the VEGAS ACES: THE QUARTERBACK series. This series must be read in order!

Tackled releases September 9

When compromising pictures of me with the pro football quarterback I’m behavior coaching hit the press, we need damage control. I’m probably going to lose my job since his fiancée’s father—the man who hired me—discovered the pictures as I woke to a cloudy memory of the night before.

My questions surrounding Jack’s relationship with his future bride grow more pressing by the day…especially when his eyes tackle me with all that heat. As he saves my job and I continue to coach him toward better decisions, I find myself falling for him. Maybe my purpose here is to open
his eyes to all his options.

But if he leaves his new boss’s daughter, the consequences could mean the end of both our careers.

Traded {a review}

The time has come for another installment of the Vegas Aces series by Lisa Suzanne! This time though, we are getting Jack's story. That's right friends, Jack Dalton has been traded to the Aces. Now let's find out what he and Michelle are up to.

As I said above, Jack has been traded to the Aces, and he is now working for his baby mama's dad. And Dad is out to control Jack to the best of his ability. Meanwhile Michelle is off living her best life thanks to a nanny, chef, housekeeper, and all the other employees. Speaking of employees...Michelle's dad has hired someone to essentially be Jack's babysitter. Oh, and it happens to be Kate, the woman that Jack hooked up with on Halloween.

I am having a love hate relationship with Lisa Suzanne right now. Love because her books are fabulous and addicting. Hate because I have to not so patiently wait for the next installment! (and this friends is why I will not participate in the Kindle Vella program.) I am all for Jack getting his story told. I cannot wait to see how things blow up with Michelle, and Savannah. I cannot wait to see how all of this works out, and how Jack and Kate will get their HEA. Because we know they will get their HEA! We'll just have to wait until about book 5. 😢 I am loving the setting, the characters, and the story. I read Traded in one sitting, and I know I will do the same with the next four books.

Traded just released today, September 9, and if you are a sports romance fan, then you need to read this series. Thank you for taking time to read my thoughts on Traded. I hope you choose to pick up this series, I think you'll like it.

Laura

Get ready for another season with the Vegas Aces featuring Jack Dalton in a new series coming this fall!

The first time I met pro football’s hottest quarterback, we ended up horizontal just before the most embarrassing moment of my life.

The second time, I unleashed all my pent-up anger on him.

The third time was when the owner of the Vegas Aces introduced him as the newly traded player I’d be coaching for the next year. No…I’m not a football coach. I’ve been hired as his full-time behavior coach.

Now I have to live with my one-night stand, his fiancée, and their newborn while I attempt to help him make better decisions. On my first day, I’m already having moral dilemmas as I watch him chug orange Gatorade in the kitchen wearing nothing more than a towel. If I truly guide him to better choices, I might just find myself out of a job.

And this is one job I can’t afford to lose.

TRADED is the first book in the VEGAS ACES: THE QUARTERBACK series. This series must be read in order.

Coming Soon from Xavier Neal!

LOOK AT THIS COVER FOR Saving Silver!

Saving Silver is the first book in the Draak Legacy series from Xavier Neal. It is a laugh out loud paranormal romance where you'll find elves, a dragon, and a griffin. I can't lie, I'm curious. I wish I was more into paranormal romances, but I'll stay in my contemporary lane.

Saving Silver releases on September 23, 2021. So go pre-order now! Also, if the description has you curious, add Saving Silver to your Goodreads TBR!

I swear, one minute I'm dozing off during the night shift - don't judge me - and the next I'm being told I'm Fate Mated to an ancient dragon.

An ancient dragon I couldn't help but save when he woke me up out of the aforementioned slumber - again, don't judge me.

Now this same ancient dragon - that I'm apparently destined to be with - is doing everything he can to win me over, because it's up to me whether or not he'll live the rest of his life in absolute agony or absolute bliss.

Oh, and let's not forget the fact we're being chased by elves, working with a grumpy Griffin, and have to rescue some poor kidnapped dragon before an evil corporation kills it.

Ugh.

Any chance this is all some crazy dream that I can't wake up from?

No?

Well, can't blame this human for asking.

Coming Soon from Kat Mizera & Brenda Rothert!

Are you looking for a new hockey romance series to read? How about one that is set in St Louis Missouri? Are you a fan of the enemies to lovers trope? Well then be sure to check out Hard Fall by Brenda Rothert & Kat Mizera when it releases on September 14th!

*if you are an emotional reader, I suggest having tissues on hand for the moments when the tears just flow.

The St. Louis Mavericks are having the best season in team history. On pace for a pro hockey record, the unexpected death of their captain and star player knocks them off course in ways they never expected.

~Weston~

My world was turned upside down the day Ben Whitmer died. Best friends since junior hockey, Ben was like a brother to me. My voice of reason and a grounding force on and off the ice. But as heartbroken as I am, I don’t have the luxury of grieving his loss.

Not only do I have to hold our team together, I was named guardian of the two young children Ben and his wife left behind. Well, not just me—me and his wife’s best friend, Hadley. We’ve been left with the impossible task of deciding which of us will raise the kids, but there’s no way I’m letting that uptight ball buster have them.

Lines are drawn, but they begin to blur as I find out there’s more to Hadley than I thought. A lot more.

~Hadley~

I can’t take the place of my beautiful best friend in her children’s lives. But I love them so fiercely that I’ll do whatever it takes to raise them the way their parents wanted.

Wes Kirby is an obnoxious womanizer, and I won’t let him take Ben and Lauren’s children from me. Deciding to temporarily live together in our friends’ home, we attempt to provide the kids stability while we figure out which of us is better suited to raising them.

As we learn parenthood together, my enemy Wes slowly becomes something different. Something more. And I’m left wondering not only if I’m enough for the kids, but if Wes and I are enough to last.

USA Today Bestselling and award-winning author Kat Mizera is a South Florida native. Born in Miami Beach with a healthy dose of wanderlust, she's called Los Angeles, Long Island, upstate New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Atlanta home. She's never been able to pick which locale is her favorite, but if pressed, she'd probably choose the west coast.

A typical PTA mom with a wonderful and supportive husband (Kevin) and two amazing boys (Nick and Max), Kat can usually be found scrapbooking or indulging in her second love (after writing) - traveling. Greece is one of her favorite places in the world. She loves that Athens is a big city with a small-town feel. The food, beaches and culture keep her going back as often as possible.

Kat's been a working freelance writer for nearly 30 years. She sold her first article--a review of a rock concert--for $10 in 1985. Since then she's been an entertainment journalist, waitress, bartender, legal assistant, food critic, magazine editor, substitute teacher, and sports writer. She also spent some time working at A & M Records in Los Angeles.

As you can guess from her Las Vegas Sidewinders series, Kat loves hockey and occasionally writes articles about her favorite team, the Florida Panthers. The rest of the time, she writes novels: sexy, romantic fiction that she hopes makes you as happy as it makes her. There's something enticing about hockey players and romance...
