You may have noticed that I've been missing here on the blog. A lot of that has to do with my kids being home all day every day for summer vacation. I know, trust me. My attention has been pulled elsewhere. 

That being said, I've made the decision to close down the blog, and move it all over to Facebook.  So please come find me there. I'll be sharing book teasers, cover reveals, new releases, reviews, and of course memes/graphics. 

I also have my instagram. Have I been posting there? Well no, but I am going to change that.

Just wanted to give you a heads up that I had to take an unexpected break. I had a health issue that I had to take care of (still in progress), but will be back shortly.

Just a quick note...

Hi everyone!

It is summer break here in Minnesota, and that means my kids are home all day every day.

So what does that mean for "What Laura's Reading"? Well it means my posts will be few and far between. My focus will be on my kids, and so my time here will be limited.

Now don't think I won't be reading, because I will be! I will try my best to post on Instagram, which also shares to my Facebook. Of course if you really want to know what I'm reading, head to Goodreads!

I have a few review posts coming, as well as sharing my May recap. So stay tuned.

I'm Participating!

Those who have been around the book community for a while are probably familiar with the Buzzword reading challenge that Books and Lala hosts.

If you are not familiar with it, this is a monthly challenge. Each month has a different prompt. That month's topic must appear in the title of a book. Need more of an explanation? I suggest watching Kayla's video.

For January, the prompt is the 5 w's: who, what, where, when, why, and (of course) how. So if one of those six words is in a book title for the month you're good to go!

I had planned on participated in 2021, but then changed my mind at the last moment. In 2022 though, I am in! I've looked at my ARCs to see if any of those fit for January. As of right now they don't. So I'm going to need to go digging through the books on my kindle to see what will fit the prompt.

What are your thoughts about the title change, and the announcement of a new series? Personally I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, hooray for a new series! On the other hand, couldn't there have been a ranch hand introduced (ahem: character from An Irresistible Chance) that could have kicked off the new series? As you can see I struggle a bit with change. 

What I do know, is that I'll read the book no matter what, and I'll continue reading all the cowboy/ranch romances that Kim Loraine releases. (along with any other contemporaries)

Also, there was a line that I totally skipped! HOCKEY? SAY WHAT NOW? OH MY NEED!

A new Sons of Sin book!

Are you a fan of Rockstar romances? How about second chance romances? If so, then you need to put Shooting Star in the Rain on your anticipated reads list!

If you've read Bed of Nails (Sons of Sin #2), then you'll recall seeing Jake and Cara in the background. If you've read that book, then you KNOW how the stage was set for their epic romance. I can't lie, I have high expectations for Shooting Star in the Rain. My gut tells me this is going to be an intense story that will be filled with emotional moments.
